Paul & Shark is an Italian brand founded by Paolo Dini. Paulo is the eldest son of Gian Ludovico, owner of Maglificio Dacò mill, who sourced the finest yarns and fabrics to craft the highest quality clothes, establishing partnerships with big names like Christian Dior and Balenciaga. The label gets its name from a trip that Paolo (whose name is the Italian version of Paul) took to a small sailmaker’s workshop in Maine where he found a sail from an old 18th-century clipper with Paul & Shark embroidery. Ever since, the brand’s inspiration has been that of yachting and the open sea, creating nautical clothing for sailing enthusiasts that can be worn on and off the water. Employing Italian design and craftsmanship, their garments are made using high-performance technical materials, many of which are patented, as well as sustainable raw materials and technologies that aim to reduce environmental impact.
