RRD, or Roberto Ricci Designs, was established in 1989 by its founder and windsurfer Roberto Ricci. A Grosseto native and lover of watersports, Ricci traveled to Hawaii to discover the secrets of its surf gurus, becoming a shaper, designing and building windsurf boards by hand. The brand’s first pieces stuck to these windsurfing roots with several collections of technical clothing inspired by nature at the antipodes. As the years passed, they expanded, launching board shorts, t-shirts, Bermudas, and much more. The brand has a focus on research and development and uses the latest materials to create their highly sartorial pieces with signature Italian style that not only look good but are built for performance and functionality too.
